Foreign Concept makes his return to Critical with the ‘Sticks’ EP, his first release in 3 years .
For the lead track he teams up with label mate Enei and vocalist Magugu. Its classic Critical sound, heavy sub weight, groove and a killer lyrical mood. The rest of the EP combines what makes Foreign Concept a stand out producer, not just relying on simple beats and bass he utilities depth and melody to make this a truly exciting come back.
“The Sticks EP is a snapshot of some of the music I’ve been making over the last year. As is always the case with my EPs, the intention is to release four tracks that sound completely different to one another whilst retaining some overarching cohesiveness.
The rough concept behind these particular tracks was keeping them as organic sounding as possible, focusing on what I’d deem to be ‘real world sounds’ and having little reliance on synthesis.
