Austria’s En:vy returns to Critical Music with another five tracks of impeccable future funk.
Title track ‘Banned’ kicks things off with a thuggish wink, setting the tone for En:vy’s now-trademark tense, snapping drums and bickering basslines to get to work.
Adding some soul, ‘INLOVE’, sees En:vy link-up with French producer Monty for a smoother groove, before regular service is resumed with the deceptively simple, hard-hitting robotic stomp of ‘R2D2’, ’After Clock’ and ‘Watch Me’, featuring vocals from Manchester’s T Man.
