In a relatively short space of time Dutch newcomer Waeys has made a significant impact on the drum and bass scene.
A producer who combines a deft technical touch with a focus on moving the room he has released music on such leading labels as Critical Music, Overview and more.
In 2020 Waeys released a slew of heavyweight tracks including the huge “Framed” with Klinical which was a fixture at the top of the Beatport charts, as well as surprising no one at all by winning the coveted “Best Newcomer” award at the D&BA Awards.
This was also the year he was first introduced to the label, when he provided ‘Vol.21‘ in the Binary series before returning with the ‘Snoar EP‘ in 2021 featuring Duskee, Levela and Particle.
In 2022 he delivered two heavy steppers, ‘Take 2007’ with Unglued and ‘Unfinished Business’ before reaching 2023. This was the year Waeys decided to let go of any boundaries and simply let himself write the music. with no real pressure to push any tracks into a particular mood or vibe. He let the music take its own path and with that his debut mini-album was born, ‘Repetition LP‘.
